Along Boulder Highway

Whitney is one of the unincorporated towns of Clark County, running along Boulder Highway in the southeast part of the valley south of Sunrise Manor and next to Henderson. The county's Whitney Recreation Center serves the neighborhood, and Henderson begins at its southern edge.

The Census Bureau's American Community Survey (2020–2024 estimates) counts about 18,600 housing units in Whitney, about 16,300 of them occupied. About 8,900 were built between 2000 and 2009, nearly half the town's housing.

Mostly gas, mostly 2000s

About 10,500 occupied Whitney homes heat with utility gas and about 5,000 with electricity. A 2000s-era gas home is usually a clean standby install: the gas meter and the main panel are typically on the same side of the house, and the panel often has room for a transfer switch.

FAQ·Straight answers

Questions valley homeowners bring up

Short and plain. Call if your setup doesn't fit the usual mold.

01Is Whitney part of Henderson?

No. Whitney is an unincorporated town governed by Clark County, bordering Henderson but separate from it.

02What's the most common generator setup in Whitney?

Gas-fired standby units on homes with Southwest Gas service, and portable hookups on homes where the owner already has a portable. We do both.

03How long does a standby install take in Whitney?

Install day is usually one day. The weeks before it cover the site visit, sizing, ordering the unit and planning the gas run and switch.

04Do you come out for maintenance only?

Yes. One-time service visits and yearly plans are both available, on any major brand, whether or not we installed the unit.
